A Tennessee man unknowingly recorded his own murder and helped officers track down his suspected killers.
Brodie Wilkinson III, 22, was found shot dead inside his crashed truck on Highway 76 outside of Nashville, Tennessee, on October 6.

But before his murder, Wilkinson picked up his cell phone and began recording from his truck as two men got out of a white 2008 Dodge Charger - and one was holding a gun.
'In the video, you can hear the sound of a gunshot after (Wilkinson) passes and the penetration of the projectile as it entered the truck and Mr. Wilkinson,' according to an affidavit filed at the Robertson County Circuit Court Clerk's Office.

Wilkinson had reported three trespassers swimming in a creek on his family's property on October 6.
He confronted the group of two men and one women who refused to leave before Wilkinson left to call police.

Court documents obtained by the Tennessean reveal that Wilkinson told the dispatcher he would meet officers at a nearby location and was heading there when he ran into the suspects again.
Daniel Blake Scott, 28, Darick A Hinerman, 25, and Jennifer Henning, 23, were all arrested in connection with Wilkinson's death.
