Vodafone is down: Network is described as a 'shambles'

Vodafone customers across the UK are reporting problems making and receiving calls.

The issues, which started at around 9am BST, have affected people around the UK, including customers in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.

According to website Down Detector, more than 200 people had reported problems by 10.30am BST.

Vodafone - which has 18 million UK customers - has a business arm called OneNet which joins landline and mobile communications.

Angry customers took to social media to complain about the outage, which seems to be affecting OneNet customers.

'Is OneNet down? Our phone system isn't working! Just moved to Vodafone, so this is a bit of a shambles', tweeted DomKJ.

Vodafone - Hold - Hour - Onenet - Network

'Finally spoke to Vodafone after being on hold for an hour. The whole Onenet network is down nationwide', user G Hixon wrote on Down Detector.

A spokesperson for Vodafone told MailOnline; 'We have fixed the issue and are seeing services return to normal for those customers that may have experienced problems with making and receiving voice calls....
