A California woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly driving while high on cannabis and causing a hit-and-run crash that killed a man on Tuesday.

Christina Diaz, 19, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, DUI with injury, hit and run and vehicular manslaughter on Wednesday.

Diaz - Toyota - Camry - Citrus - Heights

Diaz was allegedly driving a 2004 Toyota Camry in Citrus Heights on Tuesday around 6.30pm when she intentionally collided with a Dodge van, according to local police.

Police say the woman lost control of her vehicle. She then crossed into the center median and into the eastbound lanes on Greenback Lane, striking a Mercedez-Benz sedan.
