Only Fools and Horses makes return after 15 years as West End musical

It's the lovable BBC comedy series which ran for 22 years from 1981 until 2003.

And Only Fools and Horses is making a return after 15 years as a West End musical, which has been 'five years in the making'.

Comedy - Production - Year - February - Theatre

The comedy production will kick off next year on February 9 at Theatre Royal Haymarket, London.

Only Fools and Horses: The Musical was the final project of late writer John Sullivan, with his son Jim Sullivan honouring his father's legacy and taking over the script with BAFTA-winning comedy writer Paul Whitehouse.

Production - Showstopper - Songs - Contributions - Chas

The production, which has been described as a 'unique showstopper', will feature 20 new songs, including contributions from the late Chas Hodges from Chas’n’Dave.

Musical writer Paul Whitehouse will also star in the production as he takes centre stage as Grandad, which was played by the late Lennard Pearce in the TV series.

Tom - Bennett - Role - Del - Boy

Meanwhile, Tom Bennett will take on the role of Del Boy, played by legendary actor David Jason on the show.

With Ryan Hutton performing as Rodney, which was played by Nicholas Lyndhurst on the popular BBC series.

Fools - Horses - Musical - Caroline - Jay

Only Fools and Horses: The Musical will be directed by Caroline Jay Ranger with several of the show's other characters, such as Raquel, Denzil, Mickey Pearce, Nags Head landlord Mike and the Driscoll Brothers, making a debut in the production.
