Harry waits for Meghan to sign visitors' book at Edes House in Sussex

Prince Harry looked every inch the devoted husband as he carried out a packed schedule of engagements with the Duchess of Sussex today.

The royal, 34, stayed by his wife's side as they stopped off in Chichester, Bognor Regis and Brighton on their first visit to Sussex since being given the dukedom on their wedding day in May.

Point - Tour - Edes - House - Chichester

At one point, during a tour of the historic Edes House in Chichester, Harry was filmed waiting dutifully for Meghan, 37, as she finished signing the visitors' book.

A local official tried to point out another feature in the room but Harry would not be distracted, preferring to gaze lovingly at Meghan as she finished signing.

Crowds - Destination - Chichester - Time - People

Crowds in their first destination of Chichester were slow to form, but by the time they arrived there were around 1,000 people waiting to see them, many waving flags.

Harry and Meghan spent half an hour walking up and down West Street shaking hands and speaking to well-wishers.

The royals walked 200 yards down West Street to Edes House, the magnificent Georgian mansion in the market town to be greeted by Caroline Nicholls, High Sheriff of West Sussex; Lionel Barnard, chairman of the local county council and Elizabeth Hamilton chairman of the district council.
