Black-ish star Yara Shahidi sat down with Ellen DeGeneres this week to talk about her political aspirations.
Ellen was itching to find out if Oprah Winfrey's recent endorsement of the 18-year-old actress and activist had inspired her to run for president.

Oprah - who herself sparked buzz of a run for POTUS last year - was asked in a Q&A which young person gives her hope for the future.
In a selfie video which Ellen played on the screen, Oprah, 64, said: 'Yara Shahidi of course, I hope I'm still around when she becomes President of the United States - and that is going to happen - if she wants it to.

But Yara said she felt like she could still be an influence if she stays out of the white house and would prefer to be 'policy adjacent'.
'I don't want to be in the white house but right next to it would be fun.' she added.
