Reviews of Eminem’s new Kamikaze album have not been great, and this has not escaped the notice of the 45-year-old rapper.
Rather than brood privately or simply ignore the critical drubbing he’s been taking, Eminem chose a different tactic: taking out a full-page ad in The Hollywood Reporter that sends a not-at-all-subtle message to critics.
Headline - NOT - FOR - YOUR - CONSIDERATION
Under an all-caps headline reading “NOT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION,” the ad lists snippets of awful reviews from the likes of THR, Rolling Stone, Billboard and more, with savage quotes describing Kamikaze as “an awful misfire” and “yet another empty, intermittently tone-deaf onslaught,” to single out two.
Then, the kicker: “#1 in 103 countries and 434,000...
