Florida 'naked living' resort hosts open house to try and recruit new residents

For some, the idea of being naked in public is petrifying. Others might get a thrill out of skinny dipping or spending a day or two at a nudist colony.

But for one group of Floridians, being naked is a lifestyle - and they want you to join them.

Cypress - Lakes - Markets - Resort - Couples

Cypress Lakes markets itself as a 'family friendly' nudist resort, designed for couples and families.

While many use the resort as a getaway, some live here permanently in mobile homes, spending about $450-$600 a month on rent.

Resort - Children - Playground - Restaurants - Bars

Inside the resort, there is a children's playground, restaurants and bars, a beauty salon, a massage parlour, a white sand beach, pools and hot tubs.

Cypress Cove is also home to the American Nudist Research Library, housing the largest single collection of nudist printed material in the world.

Saturday - Afternoon - Resort - Kissimmee - Doors

On Saturday afternoon, the resort, located in Kissimmee, will throw open its doors to the public, allowing people to see if the nude life is for them.

An announcement on the resort's website says the open house is tradition, and there is no cost to guests, or pressure to be nude.
