A teenager from Arkansas is being charged with murder after police said he smothered his two-month-old daughter to death to stop her from crying.
He then attempted to revive the small child by shocking her with an electrified extension cord, according to arkansasonline.com.

Tyler Buchanan, 19, was brought before a Crawford County circuit judge on Wednesday and charged with capital murder in the June 12 death of his baby girl, Paisley.
Buchanan initially told investigators that he awoke to find his infant daughter not breathing in the middle of the night.

But upon further interrogation by Crawford County police investigators, Buchanan admitted to smothering the two-month-old to keep her from crying.
Panicked to find his daughter had stopped breathing, Buchanan allegedly admitted to investigators that he cut the end off an extension in an attempt to resuscitate her.

Buchanan said he knew what he was doing was wrong when held Paisley's head against his shoulder to stop her from breathing because he wanted to sleep, court documents show.
Investigators say the incident occurred around 2am, with Buchanan failing to call the police for at least seven hours after Paisley had stopped breathing.
