MRC Latino: Univision, Telemundo Ignoring Good News Reflects ‘Disconnect’ with Hispanic Public

By ignoring news like record-low Hispanic unemployment and rising support for President Donald Trump’s policies, liberal Hispanic media in the U.S. are showing just how disconnected they are from the average Hispanic citizen, MRC Latino Director Ken Oliver-Mendez told Fox Business Wednesday.

“It really illustrates the disconnect between the average Hispanic voter in the country and perhaps the average Hispanic viewer of Univision or Telemundo and what they're getting,” Oliver-Mendez said, commenting on the media’s bias by omission.

Asked about a new poll showing that 62 percent of Hispanics say they’re better off now than they were two years ago, Mendez said that, even if Univision and Telemundo won’t report the news, the average Hispanic citizen can see it reflected in their own experiences:
