Pet owner charged with animal cruelty for blasting dogs with power hose

A pet owner has been charged with animal cruelty after being filmed washing two German Shepherds with a power hose at a car wash.

Marshall Bullard, 49, was filmed by surveillance cameras at Wash Stop in Warren, Detroit, on June 24 hosing down the two dogs.

The horrified car wash owner, who called police straight away, posted the video on Facebook afterwards to share her disgust.

Bullard later spoke out to local news outlets to say he had rescued the animals from someone else and that he wanted to clean them because they were covered in **** and fleas.

Judgement - Thing - Mistake

He said he exercised 'poor judgement' and thought he was doing the right thing by hosing them down but realized he had made a mistake.

Since then, police have continued their investigation and this week charged him with animal cruelty after finding two other dogs in Bullard's care.

Pets - Shepherds - Weeks - Days - Jail

He now has no pets, having voluntarily given up the German Shepherds weeks ago, and is facing up to 90 days in jail if convicted.

He was released on bond after being arraigned on Monday.

On June 24, the car wash owner Nicole Gatto Ross took to Facebook to share videos and photographs of Bullard at the scene with the animals.

They were 'clearly afraid' and winced as he hosed them down with the hose...
