Firefighters have rescued a little boy's adorable puppy after it got stuck upside down in a 20-foot deep drain pipe.

The 5-week-old pit bull puppy fell into a drainage pipe in St Louis on Wednesday and tumbled about 20 feet underground.

Rescue - Crews - Ferguson - Fire - Department

Rescue crews from the Ferguson Fire Department were called in and used a rope with a loop on the end of it to pull the puppy to safety.

Footage of the rescue shows the distraught puppy squealing as it was pulled from eight inch wide pipe.
