As if landing Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio for the two leads wasn’t enough, Quentin Tarantino’s ninth movie is now in final negotiations for Margot Robbie to star as Sharon Tate. Robbie has been the rumored pick for months, and now Deadline reports the actress has been offered the role and is entering final negotiations to seal the deal. The casting would only solidify Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” as his most star-driven effort to date.
The movie takes place in Los Angeles in 1969 at the height of hippy Hollywood. Leonardo DiCaprio is starring as Rick Dalton, a former popular television star struggling to make it in the movie business. Dalton is joined by his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt. The two happen to live next door to Sharon Tate, and their Hollywood struggle will somehow get caught up in the Manson murders.
