Sylvester Stallone wields 'heart-stopper' knife on the Madrid set of Rambo 5

Three-time Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone emerged from his trailer proudly wielding his character's 'heart-stopper' knife on the Spanish set of Rambo 5 on Friday.

The 72-year-old action star resumes his role as troubled Vietnam War veteran John Rambo and he co-wrote the screenplay for the fifth and final film of the violent franchise - blasting into theaters in fall 2019.

Joining the native New Yorker in Madrid was Dietmar Pohl, whose company Pohl Force Knives Germany crafted the stainless steel weapon.

As the two men posed together, two staffers held umbrellas over their heads to shield them from the drizzle.

'This [has] been a very tough shoot and I am missing family and home, but hopefully it'll all be worth it.'

Rambo - Installments - Golden - Globe - Winner

The prior four Rambo installments starring the Golden Globe winner and spanning 1982-2008 collectively amassed $727.8M at the box office.

Director Adrian Grunberg (Get the Gringo) takes the helm, which has been shooting in Spain and Bulgaria since October 2.
